Practice Overview /

It's not just a commodity any longer.

For years a company's IT infrastructure was the basic nuts and bolts foundation upon which all the sexy applications ran. It was considered a commodity, a 100% cost burden, and managed as such.

Well, times have changed. While the role of technology infrastructure stills remains the basic platform that drives applications, the dizzying introduction of new and varied applications compels us to rethink how we view and manage IT infrastructure, which will only ever be as good as the applications it can run, now and in the future.

This is why we view infrastructure less as a commodity and more as strategic asset. Yes, we still have to keep an accountant's eye on costs, but now we have to be thinking more strategically, looking to design and manage more agile, facile infrastructures, better equipped to handle the plethora of new, more sophisticated and more exciting applications coming down the pike.

Infrastructure Service Capabilities /

That's where we come in. RBA, working as closely as we do with Microsoft's Rapid Deployment and Joint Development programs gives us a front row seat on Microsoft's emerging technologies, such that we have a handle on just how agile and facile a company's IT infrastructure needs to be. Our Infrastructure team, with over 50 years experience, has demonstrated agility in managing projects ranging from 10 to 150,000 users and from single server operations to 120 plus server enterprises, with expertise in:

  • Active Directory
  • Exchange Server
  • Server and Desktop Virtualization
  • Business Productivity Online Services (BPOS)
  • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
