We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our growing Software Engineering practice. This is a client-facing, consultative role for an experienced software engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strong architectural thinking and the ability to guide teams in delivering modern, scalable software solutions.

In this role, you’ll partner with client stakeholders, architects, product owners, and engineering teams to design, build, and modernize enterprise applications. You’ll provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle while mentoring engineers and helping shape technical strategy across client engagements.

What You’ll Do

• Design, architect, and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade software solutions using modern engineering practices
• Partner with client stakeholders to translate business objectives into technical architecture and implementation strategies
• Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and solution planning across client engagements
• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and testable software following modern design patterns and engineering best practices
• Analyze complex technical challenges, troubleshoot production issues, and implement scalable, long-term solutions
• Guide development teams through architecture decisions, code quality standards, and software engineering best practices
• Participate in Agile delivery teams through sprint planning, refinement, code reviews, pair programming, and continuous improvement activities
• Champion modern software development practices including CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps, and cloud-native application development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements, security standards, and long-term architecture goals
• Mentor software engineers by providing technical coaching, design guidance, and code review feedback
• Contribute to proposal development, solution architecture, and technical strategy during client pursuits
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices to drive innovation across the practice

What You Bring

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and delivering enterprise applications
• Strong experience developing applications using C# and the .NET platform
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, algorithms, and software architecture
• Experience designing distributed systems, RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms
• Experience developing modern web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and contemporary application architectures
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, source control, and modern DevOps practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with experience supporting enterprise production environments
• Experience working within Agile software development methodologies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across development teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with React, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with Python, C/C++, PowerShell, or other scripting languages
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application architectures
• Experience building cloud-native applications in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and leading cloud migration initiatives
• Familiarity with Redis, NGINX, Apache, and modern application infrastructure
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation tools
• Microsoft Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, or other relevant cloud certifications
